Did you know that tax credits are available for energy conservation home improvements “placed in service” between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010? These must be in your primary residence and apply to insulation, windows, doors, roofing, HVAC and water heaters. You must have a Manufacturer Certification Statement to qualify. Improvements made in 2009 can be claimed on your 2009 income tax form with supplement Form 5695.
